Hanoi will set off fireworks to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

The Hanoi People's Committee requested that activities to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day be organized in a combination of diverse and rich forms, ensuring solemnity, economy, efficiency, practicality, focus, and key points, in accordance with the reality of the City.

Accordingly, the City will organize a peak emulation movement to achieve achievements in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day.

Organize information and propaganda about commemorative activities; achievements in economic and social development, ensuring national defense and security of Hanoi over the past 70 years; promote the image of the capital and the country on mass media.

Organize visual propaganda, decoration, and lighting of important holidays in 2024; organize contests to learn about the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day; launch and organize the Press Award Ceremony on cultural development and building elegant and civilized Hanoians in 2024; the Hanoi Open Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2024; publish a photo book on Hanoi on the development path (bilingual in Vietnamese - English); organize a film week to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day; and the Red River Delta Art Photography Festival.

The city organizes a Cultural Festival on Peace , national-level sports activities and expanded Hanoi; organizes the 3rd Hanoi International Youth Festival in 2024; "Youth journey to fuel tradition and contribute to the future"; the 2nd Hanoi Autumn Festival; Hanoi Ao Dai Tourism Festival in 2024...

In addition, the City will organize gratitude activities, ensure social security; seminars, exhibitions and conferences; and carry out renovation, embellishment and signboard installation of works.

In particular, Hanoi City will organize a national ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Capital Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024); award the Ho Chi Minh Medal; commend typical examples of "Good people, good deeds" and honor "Outstanding Capital Citizens" in 2024 and organize fireworks and a light art program to celebrate on the evening of October 10.
