World Cultural Festival in Hanoi: unique culinary flavors from many countries

The first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi 2025, organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee, officially opened on the evening of October 10 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center. During the weekend, the Festival attracted a large number of people and tourists to visit and immerse themselves in the colorful atmosphere of the largest international festival ever in Hanoi.

The signature Indian dish “Veg Pakoda” is prepared by professional Indian chefs.

One of the areas that attracts a large number of visitors is the culinary area. Accordingly, the culinary area in the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi is designed on a large scale with 34 booths from 34 countries around the world such as France, Japan, Mexico, Venezuela, Turkey, Singapore, Thailand, Angola... Each booth displays dishes with the unique flavors of each country, creating a colorful culinary picture.

People eagerly watched the rice cake making activity live at the festival.

Coming to the neighborhood, visitors have the opportunity to explore the diverse and rich global cuisine . Among them are stalls introducing typical cakes of each country such as Mexican Tacos, Turkish meat rolls, Singaporean Waffles...

In addition, the neighborhood also offers rich flavors from savory dishes such as Anticuchos - Peruvian-style grilled meat or Pakistani Kebab chicken, contributing to creating an interesting and sophisticated taste journey for diners.

Mr. Shahram Salimi - Founder and Director of 1001 Carpet brand (Iran) shared: " The atmosphere of the festival is really wonderful. Culture can connect people all over the world, regardless of political differences. I am very happy to be here, both to learn about other cultures and to introduce my country's culture to international friends."

According to Mr. Shahram Salimi, the World Cultural Festival in Hanoi is an international event, not only introducing Vietnam but also showing the world that Vietnam always values ​​cultural values. Vietnam has a long history so this event will certainly help many tourists understand more about the country.

Filipino and Peruvian grilled dishes become the choice of many tourists.

At the festival, domestic and international visitors enthusiastically participated in the culinary experience at each booth. Each dish had its own flavor of each culture, leaving a strong impression in the minds of those who enjoyed it. Ms. Shauna Ellis ( UK) expressed: “Vietnamese food is very delicious, with a harmonious flavor, making me remember it forever. I really like bun cha and banh cuon, their taste is very special”.

The French culinary scene attracts a large number of visitors.

As for the Vietnamese people, this is an opportunity for everyone to “travel” around the five continents with their taste buds, feeling the breath of world culture right in the heart of Hanoi. Ms. Pham Thi Xuan (Hanoi) just experienced Cambodian noodle soup and said that Asian cuisine is characterized by many traditional dishes and spices, while European cuisine includes many cakes. “I am very excited, wanting to know about the cultures of other countries in terms of art as well as fashion, cuisine, and people” – Ms. Pham Thi Xuan shared.

The first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi, taking place from October 10-12, 2025 at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Heritage Center, promises to bring unique cultural experiences, spreading the image of a friendly, hospitable and richly cultural Vietnam to international friends.
