Notably, the economic scale of the capital has been gradually growing. In 2024, the gross regional domestic product (GRDP) increased by 6.52%; state budget revenue reached 513 trillion VND for the first time, the highest in the country. In the first 6 months of 2025, GRDP grew by 7.63%, budget revenue reached 392.2 trillion VND, accounting for about 29.4% of the country's total revenue.

In addition to economic development, infrastructure construction, ensuring social security and improving social welfare for the people, since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, Hanoi has been at the forefront of the country in implementing major policies of the Central Government such as digital transformation, developing cultural industries, building new rural areas...

In particular, in the revolution of streamlining the apparatus, arranging and organizing two-level local government, the Capital continues to be exemplary and take the lead. The city has rearranged from 30 districts, towns and 526 communes, wards and townships to 126 communes and wards. The two-level local government model in Hanoi operates stably and effectively, clearly affirming its superiority, being close to the people, and serving the people best.
