Building the image of Ha Tinh people as loyal, united and responsible to the community

(Baohatinh.vn) - The movement of the entire people uniting to build a cultural life associated with building new rural areas and civilized urban areas, the movement "Cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to practice office culture" has spread widely, contributing to building the culture and people of Ha Tinh with a strong identity.

General Secretary To Lam met and talked with people of Ha Tinh during his incense offering trip to the Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac relic site (Huong Son commune), on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great physician Hai Thuong Lan Ong Le Huu Trac (1724 - 2024), at the end of 2024.

These days, Mr. Tran The Thuyet (born in 1991, Khe Tho village, Dong Loc commune) is still moved when his small house has a spacious concrete road 200m long, 4.5m wide connecting to the alley thanks to 6 neighboring households donating more than ^900m2 of land. His parents died early, he lives alone on the edge of the village, the house previously only had a path along a small, narrow inner-field road, very inconvenient. The dream of having an alley for convenient travel has now come true.

The simple, warm story in Khe Tho village has been contributing to building the image of Ha Tinh people as affectionate, benevolent, united and responsible to the community - the core value that the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life (XDĐSVH) aims for.

Since 2001, the movement of national solidarity to build a cultural life has been implemented with 5 contents and 7 specific movements. In Ha Tinh, the movement has been realized in each residential area. From building cultural families, cultural villages and residential groups, to mass sports and arts movements... creating a rich spiritual life and a cohesive community. Up to now, the whole province has 95.08% of families meeting cultural standards, 98.57% of cultural villages and residential groups...





The movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" has helped the people of Bac Hong Linh ward join hands to build civilized, green, clean and beautiful neighborhoods.

Mr. Nguyen Dai Dong - Vice Chairman of Dong Loc Commune People's Committee said: "The most important thing that the movement brings is the change in awareness and lifestyle; people are united and proud when their homeland is increasingly prosperous and civilized; families are harmonious, villages are affectionate, cultural life is increasingly vibrant and rich".

It is worth mentioning that in Ha Tinh, the movement of the whole people uniting to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas is closely linked with the program of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas. This combination creates "villages worth living", with spacious infrastructure, rich in identity, and vibrant spiritual life. The whole province currently has nearly 100% of villages and residential groups with village conventions and conventions; 209 Vi and Giam folk song clubs have been established, contributing to the preservation and promotion of intangible heritage recognized by UNESCO.

The province also pays special attention to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values. The province has 694 historical and cultural relics ranked, including 3 special national relics, 93 national relics, 598 provincial relics; 5 intangible and documentary heritages recognized by UNESCO, 2 cultural celebrities honored by UNESCO. The heritages become cultural spaces, contributing to educating traditions and cultivating the personality of Ha Tinh people.

One of the highlights of Ha Tinh in recent times is the movement "Cadres, civil servants, and public employees compete to practice office culture". From a slogan, the movement has become a habit and way of thinking in agencies, units and in each citizen.

Agencies and units regularly organize emulation signings associated with the implementation of professional tasks. This has created a civilized, honest and friendly working environment. The application of IT, data digitization and administrative reform have also been promoted, contributing to the formation of a team of cadres who meet the requirements of the new period.

Ms. Truong Thi Luong - Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union said: "Cadres and civil servants who practice good office culture not only comply with regulations, but also demonstrate a dedicated and responsible attitude in serving the people. From there, people's trust in the government is strengthened and enhanced."

Culture has also become a "pedestal" for tourism and economic development. From 2021 to now, Ha Tinh has welcomed more than 15.7 million tourists, of which nearly 3.3 million are overnight guests. Total social revenue from tourism is about more than 30 trillion VND. These figures have a significant contribution from cultural activities, festivals, promoting the image of the land and people of Ha Tinh.

Cultural heritage is being preserved and promoted.

The mass sports movement in Ha Tinh is also developing very strongly. The whole province has more than 1,120 grassroots sports clubs, the rate of regular exercisers is 43%, the rate of sports families is 30.5%. Sports festivals at all levels, especially the provincial Sports Festival, have created a vibrant atmosphere, encouraging the movement of "being healthy to build and protect the Fatherland".

From the movement’s practice, many typical examples and models have emerged. These include families donating land to open roads, dedicated officials and civil servants, or artisans diligently preserving the Vi Giam tune… all of which have contributed to enriching the “cultural portrait and people of Ha Tinh”.





The material and spiritual life of Ha Tinh people is constantly improving.

Dr. Nguyen Tung Linh - Vice President of the Ha Tinh Literature and Arts Association shared: “Ha Tinh is a land rich in cultural and historical traditions. And the special thing here is that culture is not only in museums or relics, but always present in the daily lives of the people. The emulation movement is the “cradle” for those values ​​to continue to be preserved, promoted and spread.”

Based on the achieved results, Ha Tinh is continuing to implement Decision No. 2214/QD-TTg dated December 28, 2021 of the Prime Minister: Approving the Program to implement the movement of national solidarity to build cultural life in the period of 2021-2026. This is both a driving force and an opportunity for the locality to bring the movement into greater depth, quality and effectiveness.

This is the foundation to create social consensus, encouraging the whole population to compete to build the homeland to become increasingly rich and civilized. In the context of integration, culture plays an increasingly important role in "going ahead and paving the way" for Ha Tinh to develop sustainably."
