Faced with the difficulties and losses of people in flood-hit areas, cadres and women's union members in communes and wards across Hanoi have promoted the spirit of "mutual love", promptly organized many practical support activities, spread the warmth of sharing, and at the same time, affirmed the core role of the Women's Union in difficult times.

Since the storm caused flooding, the Women's Union of Soc Son commune mobilized cadres and members to go directly to low-lying areas to support people in moving their assets and livestock to safety.
Not only stopping at the relocation work, the Women's Union of Soc Son commune also actively called for socialization; organized field kitchens, provided more than 1,000 free hot meals, along with hundreds of essential gifts such as instant noodles, drinking water, dry food to the isolated households and storm-fighting forces. Hot meals and essential gifts were cooked and brought to each family by the women's union branches, demonstrating deep and timely concern.

With the spirit of "sharing food and clothes", the Women's Union of Soc Son commune also opened its arms, cooked more than 1,000 meals and mobilized necessities to support the people of Trung Gia commune and people affected by floods in Thai Nguyen province.
Humanity is also strongly spread from neighboring wards. On October 11, the working delegation of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Ngoc Ha ward and socio-political organizations directly went to Trung Gia commune, Soc Son to give support to the people.

The delegation presented 30 million VND and many important necessities contributed by local donors. The items included instant noodles, water, notebooks, school supplies, cakes, milk, etc., which were a timely source of support, helping people in the flood-affected areas overcome initial difficulties.
Sharing the same heartbeat, the Women's Union of Yen Hoa Ward has actively coordinated with other political and social organizations in the area to mobilize support for the people of Trung Gia and Da Phuc communes, Soc Son, who have been affected by prolonged flooding.

Immediately after the ward launched the campaign, the results showed enthusiastic response from the community: The Association and other units received 868 barrels of water, 621 cartons of instant noodles, 197 cartons of milk, 58 cartons of dry food, and many other essential items such as cakes, sausages and personal hygiene items, demonstrating thoughtful attention to all needs of people in flood-affected areas.

All of these goods were delivered directly to the flood victims by the joint working group of the Party Committee, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Yen Hoa Ward and socio-political organizations, ensuring that the support reaches the right people at the right time. The provision of special personal hygiene items demonstrates thoughtful, delicate, and practical attention to the special needs of women and children in flood-affected areas.

Meanwhile, with the spirit of “mutual love and support”, the Women’s Union of Dan Hoa commune also organized the cooking of 1,000 packages of sticky rice to give to people in flood-hit areas of Thai Nguyen province. The female members were present at Quan Tung Ec, some washing rice, some steaming sticky rice, some wrapping each portion very carefully.
Each package of sticky rice is a heart, a warm message from mothers and sisters in the homeland: "Keep up the good work, fellow countrymen in the flood areas!". The gifts, though small, contain deep affection sent to people in difficult times due to natural disasters.

The specific, timely and meaningful actions of the Women's Unions of the communes and wards of the Capital have brought confidence and hope, easing the losses caused by natural disasters. This spirit of solidarity and sharing is a great source of encouragement, helping people in flooded communes and neighboring areas to soon overcome challenges, stabilize and return to a peaceful life.
