The two programs brought a bustling, warm Mid-Autumn atmosphere with performances, folk games, and questions and answers about the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival, creating complete joy for the children.

Major Dang Van Vu, Political Commissar of Border Guard Squadron 2, gives Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to lonely elderly people at Bac Lieu Social Protection Center.

On this occasion, Border Guard Squadron 2 and its accompanying units presented 175 Mid-Autumn gifts including cakes, candies, milk and lanterns to children and lonely elderly people. Of these, 75 gifts of “Sweet candy – dispel bitterness” were given to orphans, disabled children and elderly people at the Social Protection Center and 100 gifts of “Loving backpacks” were sent to disadvantaged children in Hiep Thanh ward.

Representatives of Border Guard Squadron 2, Hiep Thanh Ward Youth Union, and Canh Buom Volunteer Group presented Mid-Autumn gifts to disabled and orphaned children at Bac Lieu Social Protection Center.

Ms. Khuong Kim Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Secretary of the Youth Union of Hiep Thanh ward, gave Mid-Autumn gifts to lonely elderly people at Bac Lieu Social Protection Center.

Major Dang Van Vu, Political Commissar of Border Guard Squadron 2, shared: “Mid-Autumn Festival is a festival of family reunion, but for many children in special circumstances, that joy is still absent. We hope that these small gifts, filled with sincere feelings, will contribute to sharing love, giving them more faith and strength.”

Children performed martial arts and special performances to add to the fun of the program "Border - Full Moon Festival".

Ms. Tran Hoang Phuong, Head of the Sail Volunteer Group, was moved: “Each gift is the heart of those who always want to share. Hopefully the children will feel the love and see that they are not alone - there is always a caring community, accompanying them on their journey to adulthood.”

Not only does the program bring joy to children in difficult circumstances during the Mid-Autumn Festival, it also spreads the spirit of humanity, contributing to the effective implementation of social security policies and strengthening the great national unity bloc. This is also a practical activity of the Border Guard force in connecting with the people, building a strong national border defense, where the military-civilian relationship always shines through specific and meaningful actions.
