At Ho Thi Ky High School (An Xuyen ward), one of the province's largest schools with 87 classes and nearly 3,900 students, both at junior high and high school levels, the emulation movement for good teaching and good learning is taking place enthusiastically.

Principal Chau Van Tuy shared: “In the recent online opening ceremony, the presence of Party and State leaders and the speech of General Secretary To Lam were a great source of encouragement, affirming the deep concern for the cause of educating people. Ho Thi Ky today not only leads in scale, but is also the “locomotive” of innovation, linking knowledge with personality, learning with training”.

That momentum is spread from methodological innovation: teachers shift from "one-way transmission" to promoting students' capacity through project-based learning and creative experiences; strongly apply digital technology , innovate testing and assessment, encourage students to debate, self-study, and be creative.

According to Dr. Le Hoang Du, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau, after the merger, the whole province has 755 schools, nearly 400,000 students. The sector is arranging the network, improving staff capacity, enhancing English, STEM/STEAM, prioritizing remote areas, promoting digital transformation, and personalized learning. Vision 2030 – Education as the foundation for development

The draft document of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term identifies an important goal: By 2030, about 90% of schools will meet national standards; 100% of schools will have clean water and standard toilets. This is a strategic orientation, demonstrating the determination to fundamentally and comprehensively innovate education and train high-quality human resources to meet the requirements of sustainable development and integration.

By September 28, 2025, the whole province had 629/731 schools meeting standards (85.9%): preschool 93.36%, primary 87.37%, secondary 90.23%, high school 36.53%. Only 3/25 schools outside of public schools met the standards. The goal for the coming period is not only to increase the rate of standard schools but also to build a safe and comprehensive learning environment for students.

The 2025-2030 Strategy emphasizes the development of smart education, personalized learning, enhancing foreign languages, digital skills, and life skills; at the same time, focusing on political, ethical, national defense and security education to form well-rounded individuals.

From the pioneering Hoa Binh A Primary School, Gia Rai High School maintaining national standards, Ho Thi Ky High School leading in scale, to hundreds of schools in remote areas still diligently sticking to their classes... all are joining in the emulation spirit of "Good Teaching - Good Learning", making achievements to welcome the 1st Congress of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee. That is also a testament to the spirit of innovation, creativity, solidarity and aspiration to rise of the education sector, creating a foundation for Ca Mau to develop rapidly and sustainably in the new period.
