Restrict traffic on National Highway 14D during storms

DNO - To ensure traffic safety during the impact of storm No. 12 and prolonged heavy rain, the Department of Construction of Da Nang City recommends that vehicle owners limit traffic on National Highway 14D.

Mr. Tran Ngoc Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said that currently, National Highway 14D is very badly damaged, with many areas covered in mud, making it difficult to drive and posing a risk to traffic safety.

Implementing the direction of all levels and sectors on prevention and control of storm No. 12 and heavy rain, the Department of Construction requests the Customs Branch of Region XII and transport enterprises with vehicles traveling on National Highway 14D to pay attention to recommendations to ensure safety for people and minimize property damage.

Accordingly, transport enterprises with vehicles traveling on National Highway 14D should pay attention to and regularly update information on forecasts for storm No. 12 and the heavy rains after the storm to have effective prevention plans for people, vehicles and goods, and arrange transportation plans.

Businesses should temporarily stop or limit traffic on National Highway 14D during the period of storm No. 12 and the heavy rains after the storm (expected from October 23 to 27). The reason is that the road surface is severely damaged, especially the risk of landslides causing traffic jams when there is heavy rain is very high.
