Dong Nai Provincial People's Council supervises investment projects in the 2021-2025 period

(DN) - On the afternoon of October 23, the Supervisory Delegation of the People's Council of Dong Nai province, led by Provincial Party Committee member and Vice Chairman of the People's Council Tran Van Mi, supervised the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation of projects that the Provincial People's Council decided on investment policies for the period 2021-2025.

Receiving and working with the monitoring delegation were Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, representatives of relevant departments, branches and units.

According to the report of the Provincial People's Committee, the People's Council of Dong Nai province (before the administrative unit arrangement) issued 29 resolutions on investment policy decisions and investment policy adjustments for public investment projects of groups A, B, and C in the province in the period 2021-2025.

The People's Council of Binh Phuoc province (before the administrative unit arrangement) issued 54 resolutions on investment policy decisions and investment policy adjustments for public investment projects of groups A, B, and C in the province for the period 2021-2025.

By June 2025 (before the merger into the new Dong Nai province), in Dong Nai, there were 56 projects approved by the Provincial People's Council for investment in project groups (A, B, C) and 43 projects decided on investment in sectors and fields. In Binh Phuoc, there were 50 projects approved by the Provincial People's Council for investment in project groups (A, B, C) and 6 projects in sectors and fields.

During the implementation of the above projects, there are still many difficulties, especially in compensation and site clearance; some investors are not proactive in investment preparation, have not carefully calculated the costs for implementation; the capacity of some contractors is low; coordination between departments, units and localities is not as expected...

Besides, the source of capital mobilization from land auctions has slowed down recently due to difficulties in the real estate market, leading to limited implementation costs.

Speaking at the supervision session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha shared more about issues related to the implementation of public investment projects in the province in recent times.

The provincial leaders have always been determined and implemented solutions to promote the progress of implementation, but have not yet met the requirements. The issues raised by the monitoring delegation will be accepted by the Provincial People's Committee, on that basis, it will direct departments, branches and localities to urge the implementation of each specific project.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha requested that in the coming time, communes and wards assigned with the task of site clearance need to double their efforts to complete the task, minimizing arising problems and obstacles that could lead to slow progress, as has happened in some projects in the past.

Concluding the supervision session, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Van Mi acknowledged the efforts in implementing projects in the province in recent times.

To effectively promote investment capital, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Tran Van Mi requested units to continue to be more proactive in performing tasks, drawing on experiences in implementing previous projects to speed up the progress of subsequent projects.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that the direction and tasks have been set out by the provincial leaders. The relevant units of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and departments and branches should closely coordinate according to assigned work, review a number of projects, and if they are not really urgent, they can study to transfer resources to more urgent projects.
