On October 22, a source from Tien Phong reporter said that the People's Committee of Ca Mau province has just issued a document assigning the Department of Home Affairs and Education and Training to urge the handling of the petition of teacher Nguyen Van Thuyet - who was exonerated after 9 years of being transferred to another school.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province received a petition on September 26 from Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, requesting the province to direct specialized agencies to promptly implement the conclusion of the former Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province regarding the content of the denunciation against the Department of Education and Training.

According to the above conclusion, the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu have been assigned to clarify the responsibilities, nature and level of violations of each collective and individual of the Department; and to take disciplinary measures according to regulations against the leaders of the Department and the Principal of Bac Lieu Specialized High School related to the work evaluation and transfer of Mr. Thuyet to another school that is not in accordance with regulations.

Relevant agencies are also required to take measures to correct violations (including revoking documents issued in violation of regulations).

After examining and reviewing the case, on September 3, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province issued an official dispatch to forward Mr. Thuyet's petition and reflection to the Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Education and Training for consideration and handling. However, to date, the People's Committee of the province has not received a report on the handling results.

Therefore, the People's Committee of Ca Mau province requested the Department of Home Affairs and Education and Training to continue to inspect, handle and respond to Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, and report to the People's Committee of the province before October 31.

Previously, as Tien Phong reported, according to the conclusion of the accusation of the People's Committee of the old Bac Lieu province, in 2016, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuyet, a teacher at Bac Lieu Specialized High School, was suddenly transferred by the Department of Education and Training of Bac Lieu province to Bac Lieu High School, because the school assessed that he had been classified as having average professional qualifications for two consecutive years (according to high school teacher standards).

After that, Mr. Thuyet complained, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province (old) investigated and concluded that the Department of Education and Training of the province transferred Mr. Thuyet out of the specialized school against regulations. Because, the school's professional team still rated Mr. Thuyet as excellent, but the principal of the specialized school at that time arbitrarily lowered him to average.

After the merger, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province continued to issue a document assigning the Director of the Department of Home Affairs, Education and Training to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to implement the above conclusion. However, up to now, there has been no new move in the case.

Regarding the incident, the Department of Education and Training of Ca Mau also invited 8 former leaders of the Department of Education and Training of the former Bac Lieu province (including 3 former Department Directors, 5 former Deputy Directors of the Department) and 3 former leaders of Bac Lieu Specialized High School (including the Principal and 2 Deputy Principals) at the time of the violation to work.
