Previously, at the Readers' Choice Awards 2024, Vietnam ranked 15th in the list of 20 best countries in the world with 89 points.
At the Readers' Choice Awards 2025, surpassing many attractive destinations , Vietnam's tourism brand made its mark in 6th place in the category "World's Friendliest Country", and at the same time, reached 9th place in the category "World's Most Attractive Destination".
With 97.27 points in the category of World's Friendliest Country, Condé Nast Traveller commented: "Vietnam impresses with its vast rice fields, ancient towns, and enchanting emerald green bays that are rarely found anywhere else in the world with such diverse and unique beauty as this country. And the people here are also extremely hospitable."
Condé Nast Traveller experts point out that community is a prominent feature of Vietnamese society. This factor is expressed from the "sidewalk culture" in unique urban areas with street vendors, groups of people exercising or roadside barber shops, to the coziness in rustic homestays in remote villages.
