Support 5 million VND for the family of a child who died from drowning

On October 18, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Center for Social Protection and Social Work visited and expressed condolences to the family of Tran Quoc Khanh (born in 2012, Bac Nha Trang ward) who died from drowning on October 16. The center's leaders shared and encouraged the family's relatives to overcome the pain and loss; and at the same time, gave the family a support package worth 5 million VND taken from the Provincial Children's Protection Fund.

It is known that on October 16, on the way home from school with a friend near his house, when crossing a stream, Khanh fell into the stream. The friend did not shout or call adults to rescue him; when he got home, the friend did not tell his family. Not seeing him return from school, the family searched everywhere but could not find Khanh. In the evening, Khanh's friend told the family about the incident but it was too late. Upon receiving the news, the local authorities, family, and people organized a search. It was not until 6:00 a.m. on October 17 that Khanh's body was found.
