Support for the price of seedlings to preserve the national treasure Ngoc Linh ginseng

On October 17, the Office of the People's Committee of Da Nang City informed that the People's Committee of the city has just issued Decision 2033/QD-UBND approving the unit price of 1-year-old Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings in 2025.

This Decision aims to continue implementing the incentive mechanism for conservation and development of Ngoc Linh ginseng and other medicinal plants in accordance with the spirit of Resolution No. 09/2022/NQ-HDND dated April 21, 2022 on Regulations on incentive mechanism for conservation and development of Ngoc Linh ginseng and other medicinal plants of the People's Council of Quang Nam province (old).

According to the Decision, the unit price of 1-year-old Ngoc Linh ginseng seedlings supplied by the Center for Development of Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal materials for 2025 is approved at 155,000 VND/tree. This is the price applied to support the right subjects according to orders from the People's Committees of Tra Linh, Nam Tra My, Tra Leng and Tra Tap communes (belonging to the old Nam Tra My district).

Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Development Center is responsible for supplying seedlings according to approved unit prices and complying with financial management regulations under Decree No. 60/2021/ND-CP (amended and supplemented by Decree No. 111/2025/ND-CP) and regulations on invoices and documents. Currently, the center is growing about 11 hectares of Ngoc Linh ginseng and producing more than 200,000 ginseng seedlings each year.
The People's Committees of Tra Tap, Tra Linh, Tra Leng and Nam Tra My communes (ordering units) coordinate with the Center to carry out related procedures such as ordering decisions and ordering contracts. In particular, the communes are responsible for collecting 20% ​​of the counterpart fund from the people and paying it back together with the state budget to support 80% for the Ngoc Linh ginseng supplier.

The Department of Agriculture and Environment guides, directs and inspects the supply of seedlings and manages the center's revenue and expenditure. The Department of Finance is responsible for monitoring and guiding units to implement in accordance with current State regulations.

Supporting the price of seedlings is an effort of Da Nang city to preserve and develop the rare genetic resources of the national treasure Ngoc Linh ginseng, thereby contributing to promoting the socio -economy in mountainous localities.
