Support ethnic minority women to develop family economy

The Ea Kiet Commune Women's Union was established with 24 branches, 62 groups with 2,834 members out of a total of 4,245 women in the commune. In the past term, the Executive Committee of the Commune Women's Union has developed a plan, focused on promoting propaganda work in many forms, with many innovations in content; implemented care and protection of women's legitimate and legal rights and interests. 100% of union officials and over 80% of members have been supported to improve their knowledge and skills in all aspects. Up to now, the whole commune has established 15 "5 no, 3 clean" Women's models, 10 "Happy civilized family" Clubs, 18 Women's groups taking care of health and raising children well.

Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, gave a speech directing the congress.

From 2021 to 2025, the association has developed 200 new members. Every year, 75% of the branches are classified as completing their tasks well or better, of which 20% are excellent. Women in the commune always practice their qualities, implement the grassroots democracy regulations, contribute to the work of preventing crimes and social evils, maintaining political security and social safety; and contribute to the work of building a clean and strong Party and government.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, the Ea Kiet Women's Union continues to unite, gather women from all walks of life, build an effective organization, and flexibly adapt to the new context. Strive for 80% or more of female cadres and members to be supported to improve their knowledge and skills every year; 90% of disadvantaged households headed by women are helped to improve their living standards; register and carry out at least 1 to 2 projects/tasks to participate in protecting the environment and urban order and civilization; 100% of branches have tasks to participate in building a green environment.

The Commune Women's Union also set out five key tasks to be implemented during the term, including: Supporting women to develop comprehensively to meet the requirements of the new era, building a prosperous, happy, progressive and civilized family; mobilizing society to implement gender equality for the development of women; participating in building a clean and strong Party and political system, participating in state management, building the Great National Unity Bloc; developing members, building a professional and strong association; promoting the active role of the association and women in people's foreign affairs.

Speaking at the congress, Ms. Vo Thi Ngoc, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, emphasized that in the context of the whole country promoting digital transformation, developing green economy and achieving the goal of turning Vietnam into a developed, high-income country by 2045, the Ea Kiet Commune Women's Union needs to clearly define its role and responsibility in realizing the Party's major policies and orientations.

The Association continues to build women of the new era; make the movement of studying, practicing, improving qualities, capacity, digital skills and integration capacity a regular and widespread movement; upgrade related movements and campaigns; promote digital transformation in the activities of the Association and the lives of members. The Association continues to support women in developing a green and sustainable economy; promote start-ups and innovation; and at the same time pay attention to and support ethnic minority women in developing family economy, reducing poverty associated with preserving and promoting cultural identity.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of the commune, term I, consisting of 25 members, of which the Standing Committee has 5 members. Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga continued to be re-elected as President of the Women's Union of Ea Kiet commune for the term 2025 - 2030.
