Conference to assess the conditions for implementing electronic medical records

In the past time, Than Uyen Medical Center has applied information technology according to Circular 54/2017/TT-BYT, Circular 13/2025/TT-BYT. Up to now, the Medical Center has deployed HIS medical examination and treatment management software, LIS testing system, PACS imaging diagnosis system as well as digital signature and cashless hospital fee payment. To ensure the implementation of electronic medical records in accordance with regulations, the Medical Center has established the Electronic Medical Records Appraisal Council, conducting an assessment of the conditions of information technology infrastructure, professional processes and practical operating skills. Within the framework of the conference, important contents were assessed, including: Report on the situation of IT application at the Medical Center according to the Circulars of the Ministry of Health . Report on the implementation of electronic medical records, towards completely eliminating paper medical records. Explain and clarify related contents according to the requirements of the Appraisal Council.

Speaking at the conference, BSCKI. Ta Hong Long - Deputy Director of the Department of Health emphasized: In recent times, Lai Chau province has made significant progress in applying medical information technology, contributing to improving the quality of health care for the people. The implementation of electronic medical records will bring many practical benefits such as: Supporting doctors and medical staff to look up information quickly and accurately in medical examination and treatment; helping patients shorten the time to complete procedures when accessing medical services; saving operating costs, improving the efficiency of hospital management.

This conference is not only an appraisal, but also an opportunity for participating units to exchange experiences and contribute ideas to perfect the electronic medical record model, ensuring effective implementation and suitability to the reality at the Health Center. The application of electronic medical records will help doctors and nurses manage information effectively, support prescriptions, quickly copy medical records, and at the same time allow people to look up results online, make cashless payments, and gradually build a comprehensive digital health ecosystem in Lai Chau .

The Council has assessed the Server Room and departments of Than Uyen Medical Center to comprehensively evaluate the processes of reception, medical examination and treatment, prescription, testing, imaging diagnosis and hospital fee payment on the electronic platform.

After the evaluation at the Conference, the Council voted to appraise the conditions. The result was that Than Uyen Medical Center was qualified to implement the BAĐT Profile.
