More than 100 performances participated in the 2025 'Binh Trung New Day' Art Competition

VHO - More than 100 performances by 53 units participated in the "Binh Trung New Day" 2025 Art Competition, a meaningful cultural event, connecting the community in Ho Chi Minh City.

Binh Trung Ward is the first unit in Ho Chi Minh City to organize an art competition after implementing the urban government model.

On the evening of September 18, in Ho Chi Minh City, the People's Committee of Binh Trung Ward opened the "Binh Trung New Day" Art Competition in 2025. Despite the unfavorable weather with rain lasting from afternoon to evening, the atmosphere of the competition was still exciting, attracting a large number of officials, people and teams to participate and cheer.

This is a meaningful cultural event, in the atmosphere of organizing activities to celebrate the country's major holidays, responding to the peak emulation campaign "100 days of streamlined - strong - efficient, effective and efficient activities".

At the same time, welcome the success of the Binh Trung Ward Party Congress; the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress (term 2025 - 2030) and towards the 14th National Party Congress.

Representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and the People's Committee of Binh Trung Ward presented souvenir flags to the units participating in the contest.

The Organizing Committee gave flowers to thank the judges.

In her opening speech, Ms. Cao Doan Ngoc Thuy - Vice Chairman of Binh Trung Ward People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee emphasized: "The contest is not only an opportunity for cadres, party members and people of the ward to exchange and promote artistic talents, but also contributes to building cultural life, arousing the spirit of solidarity and creativity in implementing the two-level urban government model".

In particular, Binh Trung ward is the first unit in Ho Chi Minh City to organize an art competition after implementing the urban government model, thereby demonstrating the pioneering, dynamic and creative spirit of the collective of cadres and people.

The contest contributes to affirming that the cultural and artistic movement at the grassroots level is always the foundation for building a rich spiritual life, creating motivation for emulation movements and socio -economic development goals.

This year’s competition attracted the participation of 53 units, including neighborhoods, schools, agencies, organizations, clubs, and teams in the area. The units brought 106 diverse performances with many genres: solo, duet/trio, and group singing.

The content of the performances focused on praising the Party, Uncle Ho, the tradition of heroic struggle to protect the Fatherland; praising the homeland, reflecting the working, studying and working life of the people.

Besides, there were performances praising the tradition of the Party Committee, government and people of Binh Trung ward in the cause of construction and development, building a civilized urban lifestyle...

On the opening night, 18 units entered the competition, bringing an exciting atmosphere to the audience.

The jury of the competition is composed of prestigious artists and experts: Meritorious Artist, choreographer Doan Phuc Linh Tam - Vice Principal of Ho Chi Minh City Dance School; musician Nguyen Duc Trung - Vice President of Ho Chi Minh City Music Association; Meritorious Artist Nhat Sinh - member of Vietnam Musicians Association; Honorary Professor, world record holder Tran Van Muoi - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nhan Muoi Real Estate Company.

The program takes place consecutively for 3 nights, from September 18-20; the closing ceremony and award ceremony will be on the evening of September 20. The award structure includes 3 categories: solo, duet/trio and group singing, each category has 10 prizes including 1 first prize, 1 second prize, 2 third prizes and 6 consolation prizes.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded a special prize for the best singing performance about Binh Trung ward.
