At the launch, singer Cam Van choked up as she shared that her daughter CeCe Truong had a period of depression and hid it from her family to self-treat. At the same time, she could not hide her pride when CeCe Truong composed 3 out of 4 songs in her first EP.

The EP Straight Curves includes 4 songs: Thoat, Di Di, Fire Out , Khong Con La Nguoi . Each song reflects a different version of CeCe Truong on her journey through pain and suffering to learn to let go and find herself again.
Through the EP, CeCe Truong conveys a consistent message: love can change, but from pain, people can still find strength and freedom.

All 3 songs in the EP were composed by CeCe Truong based on real experiences, thereby creating a seamless emotional journey.
The female artist admitted: "This is not a product following a trend, but the result of honestly facing myself."

Composing, writing lyrics and participating in the music making process herself, CeCe Truong expressed her hope that the EP will touch the hearts of young people, help soothe some of the emotional trauma and escape the adversities that each person is facing.
Notably, to produce this EP, CeCe Truong collaborated with Producer Duy Tran - whose album Mythologies II was officially nominated at the 2024 Grammy Awards, and is currently a lecturer at the Musicians Institute (Hollywood).
