Exciting traditional sports competition and folk games of Son La ethnic groups

VHO - On October 8, within the framework of activities celebrating the 130th anniversary of the founding of Son La province, at Tay Bac Square, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Son La organized a competition of traditional sports and folk games under the National Target Program.

The contest lasts until October 10th.

The competition attracted 150 athletes from Chieng An, Chieng Coi, To Hieu and Chieng Sinh wards. The athletes competed in 5 traditional sports including tug of war, stick pushing, to mak le, throwing con and crossbow shooting.

Athletes competed in tug of war, stick pushing, shuttlecock throwing, and fast-paced tag at the Northwest Square. Crossbow shooting was held at the Son La Province Sports Training and Competition Center.

The competition contents vividly recreate the cultural beauty of the ethnic communities of Son La province.
