First World Cultural Festival in Hanoi preview

VHO - On the evening of October 8, the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi took place at the Central Relic Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center, Hanoi). Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh attended and directed the preliminary rehearsal.

The festival is chaired by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hanoi People's Committee, to honor the cultural diversity of countries around the world, while promoting the image of the country and people of Vietnam to international friends.

Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh affirmed that the Festival is an important initiative to honor the pivotal role of culture in sustainable development, and at the same time serves as a bridge connecting nations and peoples to overcome global challenges and move towards peace and common prosperity.

“As the first event held in Vietnam, the Festival needs to be carefully prepared to bring unique cultural experiences, thereby spreading the image of a friendly, hospitable and culturally rich Vietnam to international friends,” Permanent Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh emphasized.

With the motto "Culture is the foundation - Art is the means", the first World Cultural Festival in Hanoi in Hanoi Not only is it a large-scale cultural event, but it is also an outstanding foreign activity of Vietnam in 2025, contributing to affirming the role of Hanoi - a center of convergence and dissemination of international cultural values.

This year's festival attracted the participation of 48 participating countries with many special activities.

Within the framework of the event, there will be many rich activities such as: Hanoi World Culture Festival, Hanoi International Cuisine Program, film screenings, folk dance, fine arts, international costumes, Ao Dai Festival, Hanoi International Book Festival... bringing a space of experience with bold global colors in the heart of the capital.

The art performances are carefully prepared.

Taking place from October 10-12 at the Central Relic Site of Thang Long Imperial Citadel (Thang Long Heritage Conservation Center, Hanoi), the Festival promises to become a "common home" of world cultures, where the quintessence of art, cuisine and traditions of ethnic groups converge, creating a vivid picture of diversity, harmony and connection between countries around the world.
