More than 20 restaurants and eateries signed a commitment not to trade in or slaughter wild animals and migratory birds.

Currently, Thanh Son district has more than 20 restaurants and eateries. Thanh Son Forest Protection Department has stepped up propaganda and organized commitment signing to proactively prevent illegal trading, transportation, processing and trading of wild animals in the area.

The district forest rangers propagated and organized restaurant owners to sign a commitment not to trade in or slaughter wild animals, wild birds, and migratory birds.

In order for restaurants and eateries to understand and strictly implement the prohibition of trading or slaughtering wild animals, wild birds and migratory birds, Thanh Son Forest Protection Department has disseminated regulations on wildlife management according to the Forestry Law and Government decrees to restaurants and eateries, clearly stating prohibited acts such as illegal trading, transporting, processing and trading of wild animals. In particular, business units need to have documents proving the legal origin of wild animals when using them as raw materials for processing. If they violate, they may be prosecuted for criminal liability or be subject to administrative sanctions, along with additional penalties such as suspension of business, confiscation of evidence and means of violation.

Through propaganda sessions with restaurant and food service establishments in the area, more than 20 restaurants and eateries voluntarily signed a commitment not to trade or slaughter wild animals, wild birds and migratory birds, and actively participate in wildlife protection activities in Thanh Son district.
