In his opening speech, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports Pham Xuan Tai said that sports dancing is not only an art but also helps improve health, honor cultural beauty, connect the community, spread optimism and positive energy. In recent years, Vietnamese Sports Dancing has developed strongly, attracting many people to pay attention and practice. Many clubs at all levels have been established. Dance competitions are organized on a scale from clubs, communes, wards to provinces, cities and countries.

This competition is also an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, improve their skills, thereby discovering and nurturing new talents, contributing to the development of the Vietnamese dance sports movement. “Through the tournament, talent, talent, spirit of solidarity, honesty and nobility in sports will be spread. Inspire to attract people who love dancing to participate in training; provinces, cities and sectors invest more in high-performance athletes so that Vietnamese dance sports can achieve higher results in prestigious international competitions”, Mr. Pham Xuan Tai added.

In recent times, Vietnamese dance sports have affirmed their position in international competitions, contributing to the glory of the country's sports. At the 31st Sea Games, Vietnamese dance sports won 5 gold medals (HCV), 3 silver medals (HCB), 1 bronze medal (HCĐ).
