National Shuffle Dance, Dance and Sports Folk Dance Tournament 2025

VHO - This year's tournament gathered nearly 1,000 athletes from 70 clubs of 21 provinces, cities and industries, competing in 5 categories, including Shuffle Dance; Show dance, Linedance, Group dance; Synchronized gymnastics, Zumba, Flashmob, Cheerleader; Martial music, Traditional sports folk dance, Health-preserving folk dance; Modern sports folk dance and modern dance groups.

This year's tournament brings together nearly 1,000 athletes from 70 clubs of 21 provinces and cities.

Responding to the Campaign "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" and the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life", the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department coordinated with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province to organize the 2025 National Shuffle Dance, Dancing and Folk Dance Sports Competition, taking place from July 1-5 in Da Lat city, Lam Dong.

This is the second season organized by the Department of Sports and Physical Training, after the great success in Hai Phong , continuing to affirm the attraction of the folk dance and sports movement nationwide.

Athletes are divided into 3 age groups: 6-18 years old, 18-35 years old and 35-70 years old, to create conditions for all ages to participate, develop appropriate physical capacity, while maintaining fairness, safety and science in competition.

Each entry lasts from 2 minutes 30 seconds to 4 minutes, with music of your choice, and is encouraged to use folk music or songs praising the homeland. The Organizing Committee applies a 100-point scale, judging based on professionalism, creativity, uniformity, performance style and safety.

The tournament has practical significance in guiding, standardizing and developing the folk dance and sports movement.

The scoring criteria are based on a total of 100 points, focusing on professional factors, creativity, team uniformity, performance style and training safety. The Organizing Committee also provides specific instructions on the exam structure appropriate for each age group and genre, to ensure professionalism, science and the right dissemination of the spirit of folk dance sports.

Folk dance sports are becoming a strong movement in all provinces and cities, attracting a large number of youth, workers, civil servants and the elderly to participate.

With the harmonious combination of physical exercise and artistic elements, folk dance not only helps improve health and flexibility, but also contributes to enriching spiritual and cultural life, connecting the community, building a healthy cultural environment in families, residential areas, agencies, schools, and businesses.

The tournament contributes to promoting the folk dance and sports movement to become more professional, standardized and sustainably developed.

This year's tournament also has practical significance in guiding, standardizing and developing the folk dance and sports movement, avoiding spontaneous organization, lack of uniformity, and failure to comply with professional regulations.

This is also a concrete step in implementing the Strategy for Physical Training and Sports Development and the Strategy for Cultural Development of Vietnam to 2030, with a vision to 2045, in accordance with the needs of modern society.

Not only an art playground, the Tournament also aims to encourage the whole population to participate in physical training and sports, improve health, physical strength, and prevent diseases; create a healthy playground for clubs and athletes to exchange and share experiences, thereby promoting the folk dance and sports movement to become more professional, standardized and develop sustainably.

The tournament attracted a large audience to watch and cheer.

Thereby, contributing to creating motivation for localities, agencies, units and enterprises to pay attention to and invest in developing the folk dance and sports movement, serving the goal of "Healthy to work, study, build and protect the Fatherland".

At the end of the tournament, the Organizing Committee will award Certificates and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals to the athletes who achieved First, Second and Third place; Team flags to the winning units: First, Second, Third prize and 10 encouragement flags to the Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a number of businesses and organizations that have paid attention to developing and contributing to the development of the movement.

In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded Cups to the first-place teams in 5 events/competitions; and granted Certificates to 1,000 athletes who participated in the Tournament and Special Tournament.
