Opening of the Youth Championship and National Championship of Beach Volleyball

On the morning of October 16, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho city coordinated with the Vietnam Volleyball Federation to organize the Opening Ceremony of the Youth Championship and the National Championship of 2x2 Team Beach Volleyball in 2025.

Mr. Truong Cong Quoc Viet, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, said that this is an important tournament in the system of national sports tournaments and annual traditional tournaments held in Can Tho. The tournament aims to promote training and build a force of beach volleyball athletes nationwide; train talents, select excellent young athletes to focus on the National Youth Team to participate in international tournaments, gradually integrating with the continental beach volleyball scene.

Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Can Tho City, Truong Cong Quoc Viet, hopes that with the investment and continuous progress of the participating teams, the athletes will show determination and compete with a spirit of dedication to have exciting, attractive matches, fierce and technical moves to serve a large audience and fans.

The organizing committee requested that the authorities do a good job of maintaining security and order. Supervisors and referees must focus, uphold their sense of responsibility, run the tournament fairly, accurately and reflect the professional level of the athletes.

The 2025 Youth Championship and National Championship for 2x2 Team Beach Volleyball will take place from October 12 to 19 at the Beach Volleyball Competition Area, Cai Khe Ward ( Can Tho City).

The tournament had the participation of 132 athletes from 9 units, including: Hai Phong, Military Zone 5, Sanvinest Khanh Hoa, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City 1, Ho Chi Minh City 2, Vinh Long, An Giang and Can Tho city. Of which, the National Youth Tournament had 60 athletes, the National Championship had 72 athletes.

At the opening ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to the first, second and third place teams for the teams participating in the 2x2 National Youth Tournament.
