Khanh Hoa has strengths in sea and island tourism and distinctive cultural heritage.

In the period of 2023 - 2025, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak have implemented many effective linkage activities such as inter-regional "sea - forest" tours, Famtrip and Presstrip programs, and coordinated promotion at the Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa Sea Festival, Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, and international tourism promotion conferences. Thereby, the management capacity and quality of tourism human resources of the two provinces have been improved, contributing to positioning the inter-regional tourism brand of the South Central Coast - Central Highlands.

Despite many positive results, connecting transport infrastructure between the two provinces remains a major challenge, affecting the organization of long-term tours. Joint promotion activities and building a unified tourism image also need to be further strengthened.

With the new orientation for the period 2026 - 2030, Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak aim to build a sustainable cooperation model, creating a chain of "sea - forest" tourism products with strong regional identity, contributing to spreading cultural values, promoting socio-economic development and affirming the position of the two localities on the national tourism map.
