Khanh Hoa: Training to improve diving rescue capacity by 2025

VHO - In order to continuously improve the quality of human resources and ensure maximum safety for diving activities in the area, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province has proactively planned to organize a series of professional training courses on diving rescue in 2025. This is an opportunity for lifeguards, instructors and individuals who need to improve their knowledge and skills according to the standards of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Khanh Hoa province, said that the first training course will take place from August 11, 2025 to August 15, 2025 at Vinh Hy Resort, Vinh Hai commune, Khanh Hoa province. This is an ideal location, harmoniously combining in-depth learning and skills training in a professional environment.

The training course is expected to have a scale of 50 to 60 trainees. In particular, to meet the maximum needs of trainees, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to implement the following training sessions (session 2, session 3...) throughout 2025.

Priority participants in the training include: Lifeguards working at businesses, households, and sports facilities operating in the field of swimming and diving in the southern part of Khanh Hoa province (including the old Ninh Thuan area). Individuals wishing to improve their professional knowledge and skills in swimming and diving.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh emphasized that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism welcomes students who have a passion for swimming, a high sense of responsibility and a desire to develop themselves. Specific conditions to participate in the training course include: Men and women aged 18 and over, have basic swimming skills (at least 100m), and ensure good health to fully participate in the entire program.

The training and testing program is built on Decision No. 3847/QD-BVHTTDL of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Plan No. 455 of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on organizing professional training for swimming and diving lifeguards in Khanh Hoa province in 2025.

The training content is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills, including advanced diving rescue techniques, safe training instruction methods, and many other specialized knowledge according to current regulations.

Students will be trained and tested on important practical skills, including: 100m freestyle swimming (no time limit), completing 200m freestyle swimming within 7 minutes, performing the correct 25m towing technique, performing the correct water shock and artificial respiration methods, and holding their breath underwater for at least 30 seconds.

The entire cost of organizing this meaningful training course is sponsored by Phat Hoang Long Company Limited. Organizing a series of training courses not only contributes to improving the professional qualifications of the rescue team but also plays an important role in complying with Decree No. 36/2019/ND-CP of the Government .

Through that, the course aims to build a safer and more professional diving environment for both locals and tourists when coming to Khanh Hoa.
