Disciplined 2 officials in the case of "proposing to requisition Bao Dai building as a residence"

Regarding the case of "proposing to requisition Bao Dai building as accommodation for officials", the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has disciplined two officials.

Specifically, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee decided to discipline Mr. Tran Duc Ha, Director of Khanh Hoa Cultural Heritage Conservation Center and Mr. Le Xuan Loi, Deputy Director of the Center.

The reason is that Mr. Le Xuan Loi advised, and Mr. Tran Duc Ha directly signed and issued a document proposing the requisition of 2 rooms of the Vong Nguyet villa - Cau Da villa relic site (also known as Bao Dai tower) as a residence for 2 officials (a Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and a Deputy Director of the Center).

The Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee found that the content of the proposed document was against the law, violated the Law on Cultural Heritage, the Law on Management and Use of Public Assets; violated regulations on what Party members are not allowed to do, caused bad public opinion, affected the reputation of agencies, organizations, units and the image of the locality.

As reported by SGGP, on July 7, the center issued document No. 465/BTDT-HCTH to Khanh Ha Investment Joint Stock Company with the content of requesting temporary support in arranging 2 rooms in Vong Nguyet villa as accommodation for 2 officers. On July 9, the center issued document No. 475 to withdraw document 465 dated July 7 with the reason "after reviewing, it was found that the issuance of the above document was inappropriate and not in accordance with regulations".
