Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health denies news of opening "boarding classes for the elderly"

On October 2, Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hiep, Deputy Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Health, said that the department had sent a document to the Provincial Police and relevant agencies to coordinate in handling the act of impersonating state agencies to commit fraud.

Previously, the Khanh Hoa Social Protection and Social Work Center (abbreviated as t trung tam) discovered that the Facebook page “Boarding class for the elderly” was impersonating the name and address of the Center at 78 2/4 Street, Bac Nha Trang Ward. When people contacted, this page claimed to belong to the Center.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health affirmed that the information on social networks about the Center opening boarding classes for the elderly is completely false. This is an act of impersonation, taking advantage of the name of a state agency to defraud, affecting the reputation of the unit.

"People need to be more vigilant and not believe in fake information online to avoid being taken advantage of by bad guys," Mr. Trinh Ngoc Hiep emphasized.

Khanh Hoa Provincial Department of Health has requested the Provincial Police to direct its forces to strengthen their grasp of the situation, strictly manage activities related to fraud crimes; launch a peak attack and suppress acts of fraud and property appropriation, especially in cyberspace...
