Some museums in Hanoi are making efforts to renew themselves to attract tourists...
Recently, thanks to its changes and renewal, Hanoi Museum has become one of the most visited museums. Young people come here with the desire to discover historical stories about the land of Thang Long - Hanoi through rare collections and artifacts.
More than 70,000 artifacts are arranged in chronological order, creating a vivid and attractive journey of historical discovery. In addition, the unit also implements many activities such as: Education, experience, art exhibition, art performance organization; combining technology applications in activities to increase interesting experiences for viewers.
Most notably, on February 14, residents and visitors were surprised by a glass stage installed in the middle of the lake at the Hanoi Museum. The transparent glass floor and multi-layered lighting system with thousands of shimmering and blending effects created an extremely magical picture.
The first music show called "True love seasons" held on the glass stage showed that the creativity of the Hanoi Museum has brought positive effects. Many people commented that this is the ideal space to organize luxurious and quality art programs. Mr. Nguyen Tien Da - Director of the Hanoi Museum said that a monthly music night will be held at the museum. The museum is static in historical stories, but will be dynamic in creative products. This is a new direction to promote the cultural and creative space of the capital.
Also with the desire to bring art closer to the public, contributing to spreading the love of art, on the morning of March 10, the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum held a launching ceremony of the program "Learning about Vietnamese fine arts online" in 2025, aiming to promote a healthy playground, attracting a large number of public participation, especially young people.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Minh - Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, said that the Museum is currently preserving more than 20,000 works of art, including 9 national treasures. The application of technology in exhibitions and displays has created a positive effect. The program "Learning about Vietnamese Fine Arts Online" is a typical example. In addition, many visitors here are particularly impressed with the multimedia explanation application - explained in 9 languages, with short, concise content that is easier for visitors to understand, eliminating language barriers.
One of the most mentioned and "feverish" addresses for young people in recent times is the Vietnam Military History Museum. If the displays at the old Military History Museum were previously out of place, now in its new location, the Vietnam Military History Museum has a spacious space, a very interesting tour route, and displays many artifacts, including 85mm cannons, PT67 tanks, MiG-17 aircraft... surprising and exciting young people who come to experience it for the first time.
Many young people have commented that the museum's exhibits are very attractive, both scientific and artistic, and lively. Since its opening, the museum has continuously welcomed a large number of visitors, especially on weekends. According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Tien Dung - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum, the museum's attraction of a large number of visitors has created a "cultural phenomenon" in the context that museums in general have not received much attention from the public.
The strong changes of museums have shown clear results. On social networks, many young people share check-in photos at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Vietnam Military History Museum, Vietnam Museum of Ethnology... spreading pride in the country's history. These are truly encouraging signs.
