The program "Full Moon Shining Dreams" is an annual activity of Quang Ninh Museum, in collaboration with the National History Museum, to preserve and spread traditional cultural values; at the same time, create a useful playground, a meaningful space for playing and learning for children.
From stories, folk games to products made by children themselves, the festival has contributed to nurturing love for the homeland, nurturing the soul and dreams of each child during the full moon season in August.
The “Full Moon Shining Dreams” Festival took place in a space filled with colorful lanterns and star lanterns. The opening was a sparkling lantern procession, followed by lion and dragon dances, magic shows, performances and a scene of Cuoi and Hang, bringing children back to the world of fairy tales.
The highlight of the festival was the experiential activities, where children could make moon cakes, star lanterns, and paint papier-mâché masks – familiar folk toys that contain many educational and creative values.
Interspersed between the programs is a quiz with prizes to help children learn more about the meaning of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Vietnamese custom of carrying lanterns and breaking cakes.
The attraction of the program "Full Moon Shining Dreams" this year is clearly shown when many agencies, units and schools simultaneously registered to participate, creating opportunities for hundreds of children to immerse themselves and experience the traditional Mid-Autumn atmosphere at Quang Ninh Museum.
