The project runs through the province for more than 100.7km, with a total reclaimed area of more than 940ha, including 4,285 plots of land from people, agencies and organizations. On October 8, the Provincial People's Committee held a conference to launch a 90-day and night campaign to carry out the work of reclaiming, compensating, supporting and resettling this project.
Regarding specific progress, as of October 21, the issuance of land reclamation notices reached 99.2%; the inventory reached 98.1%; the determination of land origin, the branches have transferred over 60% of the files for approval but only reviewed 44.6% according to the plan. The entire project is currently at 32.7% of the handover site.
Meanwhile, according to the previous commitment, by the end of October, the project must achieve the handover of 60% of the site. Branches of the Provincial Land Fund Development Center are making efforts to complete 100% of the work of issuing land recovery notices, counting assets attached to land; completing 100% of the work of determining the origin of recovered land, assets attached to recovered land and other related contents by October 31. Draft and publicly post the compensation and support plan to reach an area of 90% or more of the site. For the site, 60% or more will also be handed over.

According to Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha, the progress of the work is still behind schedule. Currently, only 32.7% of the site clearance has been completed, while 60% of the project must be completed by the end of October, 90% by the end of November and basically completed by the end of December. Therefore, it requires all relevant departments, agencies and localities to make every effort.
The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee especially noted that units must not delay the committed progress on site clearance work; if they are late, they must take responsibility. Provincial leaders require creating a "green channel" in site clearance and responding quickly when receiving questions and inquiries. Progress reporting must be done daily because if one day is late, the progress will be very different.
In site clearance, it is necessary to determine that the mobilization plan is still the main one and must be persistent. It is necessary to classify and identify difficult cases to have solutions with the motto "go to every alley, knock on every door". In the coming time, Dong Nai still has many key national infrastructure projects, therefore, the province wants to take the results and effective experience from the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project as a point to replicate in the next projects.
