Hanoi receives nearly 29 billion VND to support people affected by storms and floods

Responding to the call of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in recent days, many agencies, organizations, businesses and philanthropists continued to come to the headquarters of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city to donate funds to support people in localities affected by storm No. 10 (Bualoi) and storm No. 11 (Matmo).

From October 6 to the afternoon of October 22, 2025 alone, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city received a total amount of nearly 29 billion VND from organizations, units and individuals through bank transfers and cash transfers. This demonstrates the sense of responsibility and sharing of collectives and individuals with the community, society and people heavily affected by natural disasters and floods.

With the spirit of "mutual love and support", many units, collectives and individuals have actively donated and supported, such as: Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Fatherland Front Committee of Chuong My Ward 600 million VND; Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Nghia Commune nearly 270 million VND; Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward more than 125 million VND;... In particular, cadres and people of Dong Da Ward have supported 2 billion VND.

Receiving support from individuals and organizations, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Lan Huong and Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city respectfully thanked the attention, companionship and sharing of organizations, businesses and individuals for the people of the capital and people of the provinces affected by storms and floods.

The leaders of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city emphasized that this valuable support is a great source of encouragement, helping people in affected areas to quickly overcome difficulties, restore production, and stabilize their lives. The City Fatherland Front commits to using the support funds openly, transparently, for the right purposes, for the right subjects, and in a timely manner.

Previously, with the approval of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city made a very timely decision to allocate 115 billion VND from the City Relief Fund to support people in 14 provinces to overcome the damage caused by storms No. 10 and 11. This support from Hanoi city demonstrates the spirit of "Hanoi for the whole country, Hanoi with the whole country", joining hands to help people soon stabilize their lives and rebuild after natural disasters.
