Conducting the summary of the 15th National Assembly term

On the afternoon of October 17, a press conference was held on the expected agenda of the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

As planned, the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly will hold a preparatory session, opening on the morning of October 20, 2025 and closing on December 11, 2025 at the National Assembly House, Hanoi . The working time of the session is expected to be about 40 days.

The 10th session is a session with many important contents. The National Assembly has just conducted the contents of the regular session; at the same time, summarized the term of the 15th term. At this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents. Of which, there are 49 draft laws, 4 resolutions on legislative work; 13 groups of contents on socio -economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hien, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, said that the session had the largest volume of work ever; considered and decided on the most legislative content compared to all sessions since the beginning of the term; and conducted a summary of the term of the 15th National Assembly.

At this Session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues, such as considering and deciding on socio-economic issues, state budget; considering and approving the National Assembly Resolution on the results of the thematic supervision "Implementation of policies and laws on environmental protection since the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 took effect"; considering and discussing the summary report on the implementation by members of the Government, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, State Auditor General of the resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision and questioning.

The National Assembly will also discuss the draft Report on the work of the 15th National Assembly; review the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of: the President, the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Nationality Council, the National Assembly Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit. Review and approve the Resolution on summarizing the work of the 2021-2026 term.

Besides, the National Assembly will consider and decide on many other important contents.

Shorten the presentation time, do not organize questioning

The 10th session of the National Assembly also has many improvements and innovations in the way the session is conducted. Accordingly, the session shortens the time for presenting reports; arranges for the presentation of a number of reports; arranges for the National Assembly to listen to presentations of reports and discuss in groups in the Groups and Halls for a number of draft laws, resolutions, and reports on the same field.

This session of the National Assembly will not organize questions and answers. Accordingly, the National Assembly will change the way of supervising the implementation of the National Assembly's resolutions on thematic supervision and questions in the following form: The Government and agencies will send full reports; National Assembly deputies will send written questions for the questioned person to answer continuously from now until the 10th Session; at the Session, the National Assembly will synthesize the report and arrange for the National Assembly to meet in one session on this content.

The meeting agenda also arranged time for the National Assembly to review and discuss in the same session the draft Report on the work of the 15th National Assembly; and the work reports for the 2021-2026 term of the President, the Government, the National Assembly Standing Committee, the Ethnic Council, the National Assembly Committees, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and the State Audit.

Agencies of the National Assembly, the Government and relevant agencies actively and proactively coordinate closely, provide and exchange information regularly right from the stage of preparing drafts; continue to enhance the application of digital technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to effectively serve the activities at the Session.

In addition to the sessions that are broadcast live on radio and television as prescribed in Article 9 of the National Assembly Session Regulations, Vietnam Television and Voice of Vietnam will broadcast live on radio and television the National Assembly sessions to listen to presentations and discuss in the hall the reports summarizing the National Assembly's term; review and discuss reports on the implementation of a number of resolutions of the 14th and 15th National Assembly terms on thematic supervision, questioning and a number of contents that are of interest to many voters.
