On the morning of October 9, in Hanoi, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Head of the Central Steering Committee for the celebration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025, chaired the Conference to summarize activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.

According to the Central Steering Committee, the activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2 (task A80) were organized successfully, solemnly, in accordance with the scale of the event, absolutely safe, ensuring the set requirements.
That success was achieved thanks to the attention and close direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, especially the General Secretary and the Standing Secretary of the Secretariat, the Head of the Central Steering Committee; the intelligence and high sense of responsibility of the comrades in the Central Steering Committee; the proactiveness, efforts, thorough, detailed, early, and remote preparation; and the close and harmonious coordination of agencies, units, and localities.
Along with that is the sense of responsibility, ardent patriotism, high self-awareness of the people of the capital and the whole country. The companionship and support of organizations, individuals and businesses as well as the help, solidarity and good feelings of international friends.

At the conference, representatives of the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Hanoi City, and Vietnam Television gave speeches and presented video clips sharing the preparation, implementation, and lessons learned from the implementation of the A80 mission.
Speaking at the conference, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu acknowledged, highly appreciated, commended and congratulated all agencies, units and localities for excellently completing assigned tasks; successfully organizing activities to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
The event has very important significance, affirming the contemporary value and eternal vitality of the historical victory and strength of our nation.
Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu affirmed that the outstanding results, especially the key activities such as the Anniversary Ceremony, parade, march, scientific seminar, gratitude meetings of Party and State leaders with veteran cadres, meritorious people, and activities to care for people's lives were led, directed, and organized solemnly, practically, and absolutely safely, commensurate with the stature and historical significance of the event and attracted the attention and participation of many people from all walks of life, spreading widely at home and abroad; it has truly become a great festival of the nation, of the country and of our country.
"Each program and activity demonstrates the spirit of innovation and creativity in thinking and working methods, combining tradition and modernity. Thereby, it has strongly aroused patriotism, emotion, pride, national self-esteem, fostered the will to be self-reliant and self-reliant, contributed to educating revolutionary traditions, and spread cultural and historical values among the people, especially among today's young generation," the Standing Member of the Secretariat emphasized.
The commemorative propaganda work has been organized in many diverse and rich forms, truly oriented towards the people, towards the grassroots so that our people can participate and benefit, creating a widespread political movement throughout the Party and throughout society.

Emphasizing this, the Standing Secretariat welcomed the agencies assigned to preside over and coordinate the organization of key activities, which demonstrated a high sense of responsibility, proactiveness, creativity, and excellent completion of assigned tasks.
Agencies, units, and localities that carry out reception, logistics, medical engineering, and security and safety work for the commemorative activities have been deployed in a very synchronous, methodical, thoughtful manner, and have coordinated closely, promptly, and regularly at all levels and sectors from the central to local levels.
The units participating in the parade have made efforts to overcome many difficulties, actively practiced and trained, with a serious spirit, discipline and unity, contributing to the overall success of the event.
Besides, in the process of organizing the commemorative activities, there are still shortcomings and limitations. Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu suggested that it is necessary to seriously review, evaluate and learn from experience to continue to better and more effectively organize commemorative activities in the coming time.
Basically agreeing with the directions and tasks stated in the draft summary report, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu emphasized a number of contents.
According to the Standing Secretariat, it is necessary to promote propaganda and education on the tradition of patriotism, historical, cultural and revolutionary traditions of the Party and the nation, contributing to consolidating people's trust in the Party and State, promoting the strength of great national unity combined with the strength of the times, arousing the will of self-reliance and self-strengthening, creating motivation and aspiration to contribute to the development of the country in the new era, contributing to encouraging and motivating the entire Party, the entire army and the entire people to successfully organize the 14th National Party Congress.
Promoting the results and lessons learned from recent commemorative activities to better organize the commemoration of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the coming time, ensuring political and ideological steadfastness, profound content, diverse and rich forms, spreading widely in society, especially the young generation; continuing to innovate thinking, improving the quality of advisory work, coordination between all levels and sectors, linking commemorative propaganda work with the task of building and rectifying the Party and the political system; developing the economy and society, ensuring national defense and security, and expanding foreign relations and international integration.
Regarding a number of key tasks in the coming time, the Standing Secretariat requested the Central Propaganda and Education Commission to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to prepare well the conditions for the conference to summarize the work of organizing the celebrations of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the three years 2023-2025; promptly develop and complete the project to organize the celebrations of major holidays and important historical events of the country in the period 2026-2030 to submit to the Politburo and the Secretariat for comments, noting that major holidays and important historical events of the country need to be carefully reviewed, ensuring the correct scale and level of celebration according to regulations, with many new, creative, practical, effective and people-oriented points.
Each commemorative activity must contribute to consolidating the great national unity bloc, enhancing confidence, promoting resources, creating new momentum and new impetus in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.

Carrying out the assigned task, Vietnam News Agency has coordinated with the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) to compile the photo book "A80: Fatherland in the heart" - a special publication consisting of 230 beautiful photos capturing the sacred, heroic and emotional moments of the parades throughout the glorious journey of the nation, from September 2, 1945 to the present, focusing on the A80 Anniversary, parade and march.
The book is a vibrant visual symphony about patriotism, national pride and the spirit of great solidarity of the Vietnamese people in the new era.
At the conference, recognizing the close coordination and important contributions to the success of the series of activities celebrating A80, comrades Tran Cam Tu, Nguyen Trong Nghia, Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Mai Van Chinh respectfully presented the photo book "A80: Fatherland in the heart" to representatives of agencies, units and localities./.
