Lam Dong - the convergence of investment opportunities and aspirations

On the morning of October 12, in Lam Dong province, the 2025 Investment Promotion Conference took place with the participation of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; representatives of central ministries and branches; international organizations and a large number of domestic and foreign business communities and investors.

Speaking at the Conference, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh emphasized: "Lam Dong today is not only a land of majestic nature, fresh climate and gentle people, but also a convergence of open investment opportunities, favorable policies and strong aspirations to rise up."

With an area of ​​over 24,000 km² and a population of nearly 3.9 million people, Lam Dong is currently the largest province in the country, possessing many outstanding potentials and advantages. Da Lat Plateau has a temperate climate, favorable for the development of high-tech agriculture and quality resort tourism; the coastal area has a coastline of 192 km, a fishing ground of over 52,000 km² with rich potential for marine economy and renewable energy; the great forest area is home to the largest bauxite reserves in the country, along with abundant wind and solar power sources.

The strategic geographical location helps Lam Dong become a bridge between the Central Highlands, the Southeast and the South Central Coast - an important transit center of the trans-regional economic corridor. Inter-regional transport infrastructure is being heavily invested with the North-South expressways in the East, Bao Loc - Lien Khuong, Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, the Tan Phu - Bao Loc section is about to start construction; Lien Khuong Airport is about to be upgraded to a modern international port.

Currently, the province has nearly 33,000 enterprises, more than 160,000 business households, nearly 3,000 valid projects with a total investment capital of over 2 million billion VND, including 235 FDI ​​projects. These figures show the growing confidence of the business community in Lam Dong's transparent, dynamic and potential investment environment.

On behalf of the Government, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh welcomed the province's efforts in announcing 132 projects calling for investment in 2025 and 358 projects in the 2026 - 2030 period, focusing on key areas such as: transport infrastructure, industrial parks, clean energy, green urban areas, high-tech agriculture, high-quality tourism, education, health care, trade and environmental protection.

The Government is committed to continuing to accompany Lam Dong and businesses through four major orientations: perfecting institutions, improving the investment environment; mobilizing resources for strategic infrastructure; applying specific mechanisms and policies for Lam Dong to develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a new growth pole of the region and the whole country; at the same time promoting innovation, digital transformation, green economic development and circular economy.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong province to focus on synchronously implementing five key groups of tasks.

Concretize and seriously implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 1st Provincial Party Congress, creating a breakthrough in socio-economic development. Prioritize investment in strategic infrastructure, especially highways, airports, seaports, industrial parks and digital infrastructure.

Developing key industries such as high-tech agriculture, clean energy, deep processing industry, high-quality tourism, marine economy and logistics services, strongly improving the investment environment, improving the quality of human resources, promoting administrative reform and building digital government.
