The location where the dolphins appeared was about 1km from Hon Cau Island. The dolphins swam and followed the boat, making everyone excited and capturing the memorable moment.
According to Ms. Phi, dolphins have appeared around Hon Cau many times, but this is the largest number compared to previous years. In addition to dolphins, whales have also appeared swimming around Hon Cau many times.
Hon Cau Marine Reserve in Tuy Phong commune, Lam Dong province is about 12,500 hectares wide, of which the sea area is 12,360 hectares, the remaining island area is about 140 hectares.
Hon Cau sea area is highly appreciated for its biodiversity, where many rare seafood species converge, especially coral with 282 species.
There are about 324 species of fish in coral reefs, including butterfly fish, damselfish, parrotfish, snapper, surgeonfish, and anchovy...
Besides, there are 46 species of crustaceans, including many important species such as spiny lobster and red lobster. Fish in Hon Cau waters also include herring, anchovies, grouper.
In particular, Hon Cau sea area still has many endangered and rare species such as sea turtles: green turtles, hawksbill turtles, pineapple hawksbill turtles, giant clams...
