This activity aims to comprehensively evaluate and inspect the technical quality and actual operational capacity of the helicopter landing pad, in order to have a basis for reporting and requesting permission from the Ministry of National Defense to decide to put it into use. This is also the second helicopter landing pad belonging to Military Hospital 175.
Accordingly, during the 9-10 hour period, the helicopters of Division 370 performed hovering, take-off, landing, approaching the landing site, coordinating air traffic and ensuring flight safety in accordance with the technical procedures of the Ministry of National Defense.

Speaking at the acceptance ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, acknowledged that Military Hospital 175 has made remarkable progress, becoming one of the leading hospitals of the army and the whole country, with a strong team of professors and doctors.

Notably, this is also the first medical unit in the country to own two helipads. The first one at the Institute of Trauma and Orthopedics has been in use for many years; the second one is larger and more modern and has just been inspected.
Senior Lieutenant General Pham Truong Son emphasized that putting the helicopter landing pad into operation has special significance in air rescue work, taking advantage of the "golden hour, golden minute, golden second" to save the lives of patients.
This emergency is not only for officers and soldiers, but also for the people, in line with the spirit of "The Army proactively comes to the people" proposed by the Ministry of National Defense.

Major General Tran Quoc Viet, Director of Military Hospital 175, said that after the second helicopter landing site test flight, the unit will continue to coordinate with the 18th Army Corps to conduct training flights with different types of aircraft, day and night. When the training is completed, the landing site will be officially put into use.

The Director of Military Hospital 175 also shared that the Ministry of National Defense and the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee have requested the unit to develop air ambulance operations.
This is not only for the military, islands, remote areas but also for remote locations in Ho Chi Minh City, or for emergencies during golden hours, with implementation time from now until 2026.
Building K2 (1,000 beds) of Military Hospital 175 was built on a total area of 21 hectares, inaugurated and put into use on May 26, with an advanced, modern design according to international standards, to provide the best health care for soldiers, people as well as other subjects.

In particular, the building's helicopter landing pad is designed to connect directly to the emergency area and modern operating room system, to take advantage of the golden hour, shorten the time to access and treat critically ill emergency patients, and transport them from the southern island region of the Fatherland, ensuring smooth operations in all conditions.
Organizing a flight to inspect and accept the helicopter landing pad on the roof of the building for exploitation has expanded the deployment of air rescue, contributing to creating confidence for officers, soldiers and fishermen to stay at sea day and night, firmly protecting the sacred airspace and sea and islands of the Fatherland.
