This is a community program called “Saving test tubes – anyone can do IVF” initiated by Quoc Anh Hospital and accepting registrations in October 2025 until there are 50 slots, helping low-income families in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southwest region have the opportunity to access safe and effective reproductive support services at a cost suitable to their ability to pay.
According to Dr. Ly Thien Trung, Head of the Reproductive Support Unit - Quoc Anh IVF Center, low treatment costs are just the starting point. What the hospital aims for is to let more couples know that they still have the opportunity to become parents, regardless of their circumstances. "Frugal test tubes" is the first step in the goal of bringing IVF closer to the community.
50 free infertility examinations will be given to couples who are having infertility examination for the first time and meet the criteria of the program. Each examination includes: in-depth infertility examination and consultation, gynecological ultrasound, semen analysis. These are basic examination steps but are the key to early identification of the cause of infertility, thereby providing timely and most appropriate treatment.
In addition, the program also aims to encourage couples to proactively seek early medical examinations to determine infertility (if any) for timely treatment. The free 50 infertility examinations help couples remove financial barriers at the initial stage so as not to delay the examination, avoid waiting until age significantly reduces the chance of success; reduce the heavy psychological pressure when facing infertility and have a transparent treatment plan that is effective both economically and professionally.
On this occasion, IVF Quoc Anh also promoted activities to share reproductive health knowledge for workers in industrial parks - a group of people who have little access to specialized medical information.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Health , about 7-10% of couples of reproductive age in Vietnam are facing infertility problems. However, the cost of IVF treatment remains a major barrier, especially for manual laborers, workers, farmers or freelancers – people who rarely have access to modern reproductive support services.
