The Ambassador affirmed that since that historic moment, the Vietnamese people have steadfastly built a people's government, protected the Fatherland and firmly walked on the path of socialism, towards the goal of "A rich people, a strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization".

Over the past 80 years, Vietnam has risen strongly from a poor, war-torn country to become a dynamic economy , with diplomatic relations with 193 countries, strategic and comprehensive partnerships with 38 countries, and a member of more than 70 international organizations. Vietnam is currently among the 32 largest economies and 20 countries with the highest trade turnover in the world.
