Immediately after the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Tay Mo ward proposed to support households affected by flooding, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city decided to support and give gifts to 480 households in the ward affected by natural disasters.

Presenting gifts to representatives of 10 severely affected households, those in difficult circumstances and policy families at the Doc residential group's cultural house (Tay Mo ward), the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city kindly visited and encouraged the households and shared the difficulties that local people had just experienced during storms No. 10 and 11.

Through the report of the ward leaders on the flooding situation in Tay Mo ward in recent days, comrade Nguyen Lan Huong said that the city highly appreciates the people's efforts to overcome difficulties. Although the water is starting to recede, people still continue to face many disruptions in their daily lives. "I hope that people will soon stabilize their lives and request the local government to overcome difficulties so that the urban appearance becomes spacious, bright, green, clean, beautiful, civilized, and the people happy" - comrade Nguyen Lan Huong suggested.

For more information, comrade Nguyen Lan Huong said that overcoming natural disasters is the common responsibility of the city, the government, all levels and sectors in the shortest time. In the common concern of the city, there is the affection and concern of those working in the Hanoi City Front for the people, especially those in difficult circumstances.

In Hanoi, there are still areas that are heavily affected by storms and floods, such as Da Phuc and Trung Gia communes, and in the whole country, many provinces and cities are also facing numerous difficulties. In that general context, the city still shares the sentiments with the provinces and cities to overcome the consequences of natural disasters...

For the people in Hanoi, one of the orders from the heart for the cadres working on the Front is not to let any people or households be isolated, hungry or malnourished during the stormy days. With the remaining 470 gifts, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city assigned the responsibility to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Mo ward to continue to deliver them to the households as soon as possible.

Moved to receive a gift from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi city, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dau (house number 6/45/29) of Doc residential group said: "In the past few days, my family's life has been completely turned upside down, many properties have been damaged due to being soaked in water for many days... Receiving the gift today, I feel the sharing and care of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the city and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of the ward. This is a practical encouragement, helping people feel warm and more confident in the leadership of the Party, State and city".

Regarding the storm situation in the area, the representative of Tay Mo ward said that the impact of storms No. 10 and 11, heavy rain overloaded the urban drainage system, causing flooding in residential areas in the ward, seriously affecting the lives, studies and work of the people. The number of households seriously affected by flooding is 480 households with about 1,500 people, living in the residential areas of Doc, Duoi, Lo, To, Hanh... As of October 10, the water is gradually receding, the locality and people are focusing on overcoming the consequences after the storm.
