The Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria launched a fundraising campaign to support flood victims in the country.

According to the VNA correspondent in Algiers, responding to the call of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the call of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, on October 7, the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria held a ceremony to launch a fundraising campaign to support people in provinces and cities that have suffered heavy losses due to storms and floods in recent times. The ceremony was attended by all officials and staff of the Embassy and representative offices of Vietnam in Algeria.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Algeria Tran Quoc Khanh informed about the painful losses that our compatriots in the country have suffered due to storms and floods in recent times.

Ambassador Tran Quoc Khanh called on the Embassy staff, departments, spouses, Vietnamese people and overseas Vietnamese in Algeria to strongly promote "national love and compatriotism" to support the victims in the country with at least one day's salary.

The donated money will be transferred by the Embassy to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to be delivered to the victims as soon as possible.
