Tran Nhat Minh - 10th grade English 2 student, Hanoi National University of Education High School, Group Leader shares about the Project.
Tran Nhat Minh and his friends in the Project group bring meaningful books to students in disadvantaged areas.
During the book donation ceremony, Tran Nhat Minh - a 10th grade English 2 student at Hanoi National University of Education High School, Project Team Leader shared: Books help us expand our knowledge, nurture our souls and reach our dreams. Music makes reading more poetic, and astronomy is a symbol of our aspirations. I hope that the students here will spend time reading a few pages of books every day to see life more broadly...
It is known that Minh has nurtured his love of books since childhood, starting from the simple habit of having his mother read him stories before bedtime. In secondary school, he was fascinated with science books, spending many nights looking at the starry sky and dreaming of exploring the universe. That love not only motivated Minh to study but also inspired him to join his friends in a volunteer project to bring books, music and knowledge to deprived areas.
Students of the Project group and students of Bac Phong Primary and Secondary School sing meaningful songs about teachers and school.
Not only reading, the Project also encourages children to write their thoughts, draw illustrations about their favorite books, or sing meaningful songs about their teachers and school together. The combination of books and music has turned the bookshelf into a colorful cultural space, a place to nurture the souls and aspirations of young people.
Thung Nai is a mountainous commune with many difficulties, the poverty rate is still high, many students still lack books. In that context, the Project is not only a source of knowledge but also a spiritual gift, opening new horizons for the children here. The atmosphere at the donation ceremony was warm and friendly, students of Bac Phong Primary and Secondary School were able to participate in reading books together, sharing feelings about their favorite books, and participating in quiz games with prizes. The joy was evident on the students' faces when they first touched the pages of new books, rich in genres.
Bac Phong Secondary School, Thung Nai Commune presented certificates of merit to Project members.
Comrade Bui Tien Dung, Vice Principal of Bac Phong Primary and Secondary School, was moved to express: This is an extremely valuable gift, contributing to encouraging students here to love books and be more eager to learn. The school will maintain regular reading activities, organize thematic activities, and encourage students to spread the spirit of reading to their families and the community. On this occasion, the school also awarded Certificates of Merit to students who have had outstanding achievements in the Project "Shared Bookshelf - Books, Music and Astronomical Dreams" as a recognition and encouragement of the spirit of enthusiastic youth. The simple certificates of merit are not only rewards but also motivation for students to continue their journey of sharing knowledge...
Project members give books to students of Bac Phong Primary and Secondary School, Thung Nai Commune.
This is the 5th time the Project has reached students in rural and mountainous areas. Each time, 2-3 schools receive bookcases with about 200 books, each book has 1-3 copies. The diverse books from literature, skills, science to space exploration have truly become new companions for students in the areas where books are given.
Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Binh, lecturer at Hanoi National University of Education 1 and Project members discussed the books with the school's students.
Associate Professor Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Binh, lecturer at Hanoi National University of Education 1 - the project connector, commented: The project "Shared Bookshelf - Books, Music and Astronomical Dreams" has been through many schools, bringing reading culture to thousands of students. I believe that, from today's pages, students will form good habits, nurture big dreams and spread kindness in life. The project not only gives books, but also gives confidence that anywhere, whether urban or mountainous, every student has the right to access knowledge. And most of all, from those simple pages, who knows, future scientists, artists, engineers will sprout - people who contribute to building a more and more beautiful homeland.
