Vietnam – Singapore Economic Connectivity Ministerial Conference

On the afternoon of October 10, the 19th Vietnam - Singapore Economic Connectivity Ministerial Conference took place in Hanoi. Comrade Nguyen Van Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Finance and Singaporean Minister of Manpower Tan See Leng co-chaired the Conference.

Attending the conference were representatives of ministries, local branches of Vietnam and Singapore related to economic cooperation activities. Attending the conference on behalf of Phu Tho province were comrade Nguyen Khac Hieu - Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of the Department of Finance; Center for Investment Promotion and Enterprise Support of the province.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Hieu attended the 19th Vietnam - Singapore Economic Connectivity Ministerial Conference in Hanoi and launched the off-airport cargo terminal at YCH Superport Vietnam (Phu Tho province).

At the Conference, the two sides informed and exchanged on a number of achievements since the 18th Ministerial Conference; discussed directions for expanding cooperation in the fields of investment, agriculture , construction - transportation and infrastructure; energy; digitalization and innovation.

Through the 19th Vietnam-Singapore Economic Connectivity Ministerial Conference, Vietnam affirmed its views and interests in economic cooperation with Singapore to further deepen the Strategic Partnership between the two countries; requested Singapore to make efforts to coordinate and implement new initiatives within the framework of the Connectivity Agreement; encouraged Singaporean enterprises to make new cooperation proposals and increase investment in Vietnam.

On this occasion, the two sides witnessed the signing of a cooperation agreement to promote cooperation between Vietnamese agencies and Singaporean enterprises; the granting of an amended investment certificate to Kepel at Saigon Center Phase 1; the launching of an action plan on digital transformation between Da Nang city and Grab Vietnam; and the launching of an off-airport cargo terminal at YCH SuperPort Vietnam, Phu Tho province.
