Offering incense to commemorate the 725th anniversary of the death of King Tran Quoc Tuan

On October 11, the Management Board of the Tran Dynasty Temple Relic, Vinh Phuc Ward, held an incense offering ceremony to commemorate the 725th death anniversary of National Hero Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan (the 20th day of the 8th lunar month every year).

Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan is an outstanding general in the history of the nation, who led the army and people of Dai Viet three times to defeat the invading Yuan-Mongol invaders, keeping the border peaceful, and creating a brilliant golden page in the history of the nation.

To commemorate the great contributions of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, the people built a temple and annually hold a memorial incense offering ceremony on the anniversary of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan's death to educate the tradition of patriotism in fighting against foreign invaders, protecting the country, at the same time, arousing national pride, strengthening the great national unity and building a rich cultural and spiritual life, linking historical traditions with the renovation and development of the homeland and country.

At the ceremony, the Management Board of the Tran Dynasty Temple relic site performed traditional rituals (palenium procession, sacrifice) to commemorate the merits of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan.
