Lang Son province has also issued an emergency flood notice on the Trung River. Currently, the flood level on the Trung River is rising rapidly. At 8:00 a.m. on October 7, the water level at Huu Lung hydrological station was 19.93m, 93cm above alert level 3.
In the next 6-12 hours, flood on Trung River will continue to rise rapidly and fluctuate above alert level 3. Bac Giang River will rise rapidly above alert level 3 and peak on the afternoon of October 7.
Water levels on some other rivers in Lang Son province specifically: on Ky Cung river at Lang Son hydrological station is 251.79m, 21cm below alarm level 1; on Bac Giang river at Van Mich hydrological station is 190.81m, 81cm above alarm level 3.

High river floods are likely to cause flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, flash floods, landslides, riverbank erosion, inundation and affect the safety of dykes along rivers, streams and vulnerable points such as high slopes.
In addition, high river water levels also affect construction works on rivers and riverside, affecting agricultural production, aquaculture and local residents; flooding and landslides threaten people's lives, property and socio-economic activities.
It is noted that some communes of Huu Lien, Huu Lung, Van Nham, Yen Binh, Thien Tan... are currently partially flooded, some inter-village and inter-commune traffic routes are flooded, also causing difficulty in movement.

Strong winds caused many trees to fall and some billboards to be damaged. In response to the complicated weather situation, local authorities quickly deployed response measures. Authorities were mobilized to patrol and warn people in areas at high risk of landslides and flash floods.
