Specifically, at Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry, the school's Lunar New Year bonus increased compared to 2024.

Accordingly, the total expenditure of the school for Tet bonus is about 68 billion VND for about 1,600 staff of the school, an increase of about 18 billion compared to last year. On average, each staff member, lecturer and employee will receive a Tet bonus of about 40 million VND.

Many schools give huge Tet bonuses to staff and lecturers

Similarly, Ho Chi Minh City University of Law plans to increase the total Tet bonus for nearly 500 employees by 20% compared to last year. The school's Tet care includes Tet money, Tet bonus, emulation title money and New Year money.

In which, Tet bonus is equivalent to one month's income (including salary and additional income) calculated by December 2024, except for some special cases according to the school's own regulations; Tet bonus will depend on the level of task completion, each person will be rewarded from more than 7 million VND to more than 12 million VND.

The emulation title money will have two levels, advanced workers will be awarded 3.5 million VND and grassroots emulation fighters will be awarded 5.25 million VND. As for the New Year bonus, each official and worker will be awarded an additional 3 million VND.

Meanwhile, many universities have a common bonus policy from leaders to employees. For example, according to the announcement of the University of Industry and Trade on the Tet bonus, based on the internal spending regulations approved at the staff conference, the school implemented an equal bonus of 25 million VND/person.

In addition, the school gives an additional 3 million VND/person on the occasion of the New Year, the total number of staff of the school is about 800 people. This bonus applies to all officials, employees, and school leaders who have worked for one year or more, regardless of title, position, or degree.

Ho Chi Minh City University of Technical Education expects the school's Tet care expenses to be basically the same as last year, but the total expenses will increase because the basic salary according to the state regulations has been adjusted to increase. However, to motivate and encourage the staff, the school has added some additional expenses this year.

Specifically, the school still maintains the Tet bonus of 25 million VND/person and the task completion fee is one month's salary for each staff member, lecturer, and employee. In addition, the new point this year is that the school pays an additional donation amount to each staff member, lecturer, and employee.

Many other universities and colleges such as Lac Hong University (Dong Nai), Ho Chi Minh City University of Information Technology, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, Van Hien University, Ho Chi Minh City University of Management and Technology, Saigon Polytechnic College... also announced Tet bonuses for lecturers and employees ranging from 10 to 30 million VND/person.

For lecturers with seniority, holding positions from head of department, deputy head of department or higher, the bonus is higher. As for lecturers and workers with difficult circumstances, in addition to the above bonus, they will receive additional support from the school union.
