Workers in difficulty will be supported with a gift of 1.3 million VND on the occasion of Tet.

(Baohatinh.vn) - In order to take care of Tet for union members and workers in difficult circumstances, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor plans to support 1.3 million VND/person on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2026.

According to the plan, visiting, gift-giving and New Year greeting activities will be carried out at enterprises and units in industrial parks and export processing zones - where there are many workers in difficult circumstances, low income, affected by natural disasters or working in toxic, dangerous environments, remote areas.

The General Confederation will coordinate to organize buses, trains, and planes to take workers home to celebrate Tet in the Central provinces.

Each Tet gift is expected to be worth 1.3 million VND, including 1 million VND in cash and 300,000 VND in kind. The support fund is drawn from the regular operating resources of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor .

Along with that, the program "Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" will be held directly in a locality with a large number of workers. Here, workers will be able to buy essential goods at preferential prices, receive vouchers, "0 VND" gifts, receive health and legal advice, receive medicine, free motorcycle oil changes, participate in cultural and sports activities...

Notably, the General Confederation will coordinate to organize buses, trains, and planes to take workers home to celebrate Tet in the central provinces such as Ha Tinh, Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and the northern localities. These activities will be implemented in Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai , Tay Ninh - places with many workers from other provinces.

The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized that this is an effort to bring a warmer and more fulfilling Tet to workers after a year of hard work, while demonstrating the accompanying and practical caring role of the Trade Union organization.
