Boat capsized on Da River reservoir, 1 person missing

According to information from the People's Committee of Tan Pheo commune (Phu Tho province), at about 8:30 p.m. on October 21, in the Da River reservoir area (border between Un village, Song Khua commune, Son La province and Ca Long hamlet, Tan Pheo commune, Phu Tho province), a boat capsized accident occurred, leaving one person missing.

Specifically, at the above time, Mr. BMG (born in 1987, residing in Ca Long hamlet, Tan Pheo commune) was driving a boat from Un village to Ca Long, carrying Mr. Dinh Minh Dao (born in 1986, residing in Team 4, Song Khua commune, Son La province). While moving through the above area, the boat suddenly encountered big waves and capsized. Mr. Dinh Minh Dao was able to cling to a fishing net buoy of the people and escaped; while Mr. BMG was missing.

Although the incident occurred in Song Khua commune (Son La province), immediately after receiving the information, the People's Committee of Tan Pheo commune quickly mobilized dozens of police officers, soldiers, militia and people to coordinate with Song Khua commune's functional forces to organize search and rescue that night.

Search work encountered many difficulties due to the complex terrain of the accident area, deep water, strong currents, and adverse weather.

Currently, the authorities have not yet found the missing victim. Search activities are still being actively deployed by local authorities and authorities, and the search area is being expanded.
