On the evening of October 17, in front of the large flower clock on Dinh Tien Hoang Street, Hoan Kiem Lake, the German Festival 2025 officially opened. German Ambassador to Vietnam Helga Margarete Barth emphasized that the festival is an opportunity to widely introduce to the public the strong partnership between Germany and Vietnam — a partnership based on mutual respect, equal cooperation and a common commitment to sustainable development.

“Over the past decades, German development cooperation in Vietnam has accompanied the country's development process, for the benefit of the Vietnamese people, from initial support in social security to the current focus on global challenges such as climate change, energy transition and sustainable growth," Ambassador Helga Margarete Barth affirmed, adding that about 40 German organizations and businesses in the fields of development cooperation, private sector, sports, culture and science also participated in the festival.

These organizations and businesses have many programs to introduce their activities in diverse, rich and attractive forms; strongly expressing German culture and spirit.

After the opening ceremony, the German Festival 2025 continued to take place on October 18 and 19 at Dinh Tien Hoang walking street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi. In addition to exhibition booths, interactive activities, and cultural performances, the festival also brought new culinary experiences full of German flavor.
