Pension payment schedule for May after the May 30-May 1 holiday that lasted for many days

During the pension and social insurance allowance payment period in May, Vietnam Post will make payments to more than 3.3 million beneficiaries, equivalent to over 18,000 billion VND.

Payment via ATM account to beneficiaries will be made by Vietnam Post as soon as the list and money are received from Social Insurance, no later than the next day.

Payment time at payment points in communes, wards and towns starts from May 2 to May 10, and payment time at post office transaction points is from May 11 to May 25.

However, in each locality, the Provincial Post Office will coordinate with local social insurance agencies to decide on the specific monthly pension and social insurance allowance payment time appropriate to each locality.

The start date for payment of pensions and social insurance benefits by localities must not be many days later than the general regulations. The end date must be the same day as the general regulations.

Previously, Vietnam Social Security had issued instructions to ensure full and timely payment of pensions and social insurance benefits for May.

Accordingly, Social Insurance of provinces and cities shall arrange working departments reasonably to create, transfer lists and transfer funds to post offices in a timely manner, so as not to affect the payment time to beneficiaries.

This unit will coordinate with the provincial post office to review the payment schedule to ensure compliance with the provisions of Decision No. 166/QD-BHXH on the process of settling social insurance benefits, paying social insurance and unemployment insurance benefits. If there is any change in the payment schedule, promptly report to Vietnam Social Security.

Vietnam Social Security also requested Vietnam Post Corporation to direct its affiliated units to fully prepare conditions to ensure full and timely payment of pensions and social insurance benefits.

This unit also promptly notifies beneficiaries of any changes in payment schedules (if any).

According to the announcement of the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs on the proposal to swap working days on the occasion of the April 30 Victory Day and May 1 International Labor Day holidays in 2024, on this holiday, civil servants, public employees and employees of state administrative agencies and public service units will have 5 consecutive days off.

Time from Saturday, April 27, to Wednesday, May 1, make up on Saturday, May 4.

According to Decision 166/QD-BHXH, the monthly pension and insurance benefit payment schedule is from the 2nd to the 25th of the month.

Specifically, payment at payment points: From the 2nd to the 10th of the month, the organization will pay at least 6 hours/day at all payment points; payment will only end before the 10th for points that have paid all beneficiaries according to the list sent by the Social Insurance agency.

Payment at the District Post Office transaction points: From the 11th of the month, continue to pay at the post office transaction points until the 25th of the month.

Thus, based on the above regulations, and the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year will end on May 1, it is expected that pensions and social insurance benefits for May 2024 will be paid from May 2, and there may be no changes.
