Pension and allowance payment schedule for October nationwide, beneficiaries note

Payment of pensions and benefits transferred via personal accounts will start from October 2 and last until October 5 at the latest.

According to regulations, the monthly pension payment schedule through the account will start from the 2nd. In case the 2nd falls on a holiday, the payment schedule will start from the first working day after the holiday, no later than the 5th of each month.

Pay pension to beneficiaries.

According to Vietnam Social Security, the pension payment schedule for October 2025 will be paid in two main forms: Transfer will be received at the beginning of the month, and cash will be paid from October 2 to 10 at fixed payment points and from October 11 to 25 at commune post offices.

Regarding cash payments, pension payment points start from 2nd to 10th, payment organization at least 6 hours/day at all payment points.

In addition, post office transaction points start paying from the 11th, and continue paying at post office transaction points until the 25th of each month.

However, Vietnam Social Security allows provincial and municipal Social Security agencies to decide on the payment time of pensions and monthly allowances suitable to each locality.

Regarding the payment of pensions and allowances to beneficiaries in Hanoi in October, Hanoi Social Insurance made payments to beneficiaries via personal accounts on October 2 (Thursday).

Regarding cash payments to more than 3,200 people, the Social Insurance Agency coordinated with the Post Office to develop a plan to promptly pay beneficiaries after October 3.

In September, Hanoi Social Insurance paid pensions and allowances to 600,215 people with a total amount of over VND 4,157.8 billion, of which the number of people receiving through personal accounts accounted for 99.46%.

Nationwide, there are nearly 3.4 million people receiving pensions and benefits.

According to the Social Insurance Law 2024, the Social Insurance agency recommends that beneficiaries should pay attention to some changes in authorization to receive pensions and benefits.

Specifically, in the case of authorizing the receipt of pensions, allowances and other benefits, the authorization document is valid for a maximum of 12 months from the date of authorization. The authorization document must be certified in accordance with the law on certification.

For Power of Attorney established in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Social Insurance 2014, it will be effective until June 30, 2026.

After July 1, 2026, beneficiaries must re-establish authorization or complete certification procedures as prescribed in a timely manner to avoid interruption in receiving monthly pensions and benefits.

Annually, beneficiaries of social insurance benefits through personal accounts opened at banks are responsible for coordinating with the Social Insurance agency or service organizations authorized by the Social Insurance agency to verify information on eligibility for social insurance benefits according to regulations.
